Open Seas & Cyberelements Partner to Provide PAM & ZTNA Security Solutions

Open Seas & Cyberelements Partner to Provide PAM & ZTNA Security Solutions

Open Seas, a UK-based enterprise IT solutions company specialising in cyber security and data protection, has partnered with cyberelements, the new all-in-one SaaS platform which enables full cyber control for organisations. Powered by French-based company Systancia, the partnership will bring cyberelements’ Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions to the UK market.

cyberelements’ PAM solution is for Managed Service Providers (MSP) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) that have admin access to client systems. It enables admins to define and assign administrative rights to both internal and external users and trace all user actions performed. Features include password leakage protection, recording of privileged users’ sessions, real-time detection of suspicious behaviour and automation of preventative actions to stop potential malicious users. The cyberelements Critical Access for PAM is an affordable and easy-to-deploy solution that provides strong protection from cyber threats such as ransomware, denial of service, and data theft.

According to Gartner’s “Magic Quadrant for PAM 2021”, 50% of organisations that implement a PAM that eliminates undefined privileges will avoid 80% of security breaches by 2024, compared to those not equipped with PAM.

The Regular Access for ZTNA is based on the Zero Trust concept which aims to protect organisations’ information systems (IS) and data on their premises by trusting no one by default. IT allows to precisely define access to applications (web or client-server) or resources (servers or file shares) according to the user and their connection conditions, and whether they are in one or several data centres, managed by the company or by a cloud service provider. It allows a wide variety of access scenarios to be taken into account; from controlled workstations, bring your own device (BYOD) or third party providers.

Both cyberelements’ services are a step up from Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) which have become an attack vector – VPN attacks have increased by 2000% in 2021, according to reports. Through cyberelements’ PAM and ZTNA services, the users and their systems never make direct contact with the secured systems. Everything passes through a secure cloud-based portal which is either hosted by cyberelements, or by the user organisation in larger deployments. Users only see and have this step-through access to the applications they are trusted to use. If they attempt to do anything else, access will be blocked, administrators will be alerted and the session will be recorded. For contractors and BYOD, it will do minimum device safety checks, such as checking that the device has the latest operating system patches and whether the antivirus is up to date or of commercial quality.

Jason Kent, Director at Open Seas, said: “Remote and hybrid working is here to stay and businesses have to adapt to these new realities. This also means adapting to new cyber threats. cyberelements’ PAM and ZTNA services are made for the modern way of working. They come at a good cost and are easy to deploy for organisations of all sizes. We look forward to a fruitful partnership!“

Christophe Corne, CEO at Cyberelements, said: “The UK is an important market and partnering with Open Seas to distribute our PAM and ZTNA solutions was an easy choice. Jason and his team have a wealth of experience in the market, especially in the area of enterprise cyber security and data protection. Now Open Seas’ network can benefit from the only cloud-based PAM solution that can be deployed in a few clicks and a ZTNA that is perfect for today’s hybrid and remote working environments.”
