Abnormal Behavioural Security Platform recognised as a trusted solution for government and enterprise adoption

Abnormal AI, a leading behavioural AI security platform, announced it has been accredited by the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA). The accreditation status, effective 1st July 2026, positions Abnormal to pursue expanded engagement with Singapore government agencies and enterprises through IMDA’s streamlined procurement process and market access channels.

The IMDA Accreditation programme is designed to help enterprise technology companies scale in the region. IMDA-accredited companies undergo independent evaluation across business and operations, technical capability, and financial standing, giving government agencies and large enterprises confidence to adopt their solutions. Being enrolled in the programme also gives companies access to IMDA’s “Greenlane” procurement track, which is designed to substantially shorten typical government procurement timelines, as well as introductions to government decision-makers through IMDA’s ecosystem.

Abnormal’s accreditation status comes as organisations across Singapore and the broader ASEAN region contend with a rise in AI-generated social engineering, business email compromise, and identity-based attacks that typically bypass traditional, rules-based defences. Abnormal’s platform uses behavioural AI to understand what normal looks like; by establishing per-entity baselines across identities and environments, it is designed to detect and stop sophisticated attacks, including many that have not been seen before, without relying on static rules or threat signatures.

“As organisations strengthen their cyber resilience against increasingly sophisticated threats, trusted and innovative technology providers play an important role. We look forward to partnering with Abnormal AI as it helps organisations address human-behaviour attacks and impersonation threats in Singapore and beyond,” said Edwin Low, Director, Enterprise & Ecosystem Development at IMDA.

Abnormal has been active in Singapore’s public and private sectors as part of its broader expansion across Asia-Pacific and Japan. The company’s customer base in Singapore and across ASEAN has grown in recent years, reflecting broader regional demand for platforms that can replace static, rules-based security tools. Being accredited by IMDA builds on that momentum, giving the company a formal channel to pursue government agencies as customers and reference accounts, as well as enterprise opportunities alongside IMDA’s network of accredited technology partners.

Abnormal’s investment in Singapore extends beyond go-to-market. Since 2024, the company has worked with the Singapore Economic Development Board to grow its AI engineering talent in the region, building local capability in AI product development alongside its commercial presence. That investment in homegrown AI R&D aligns closely with Singapore’s own push to build domestic AI capability, and reflects the kind of investment we believe supports long-term alignment with the region.

“Singapore has become one of the most important, most sophisticated markets in the region, and being accredited reflects that our platform has undergone IMDA’s robust evaluation process for government and enterprise adoption,” said Sebastian Murphy, Regional Director, ASEAN at Abnormal. “It gives Singapore agencies and enterprises a validated path to adopt behavioural AI security, and it reflects the investment we’ve made in this region over the past several years. We’re looking forward to deepening our work with IMDA and the customers and partners we serve here.”

Abnormal intends to continue evaluating opportunities to grow its presence in Singapore and across ASEAN, with additional investment in local go-to-market resources and government engagement expected in the near term.
