He joins as Anaconda completes the most significant expansion in the company’s history, closing three acquisitions in six months to deepen platform capabilities for its 50 million active users. By expanding access to agentic engineering, AI orchestration, and AI security & guardrails, Anaconda is enabling customers to reach trillion-token scale that is cost efficient and secure. Grierson’s mandate is to lead Anaconda’s financial strategy to match the pace of its platform growth.

Grierson brings more than two decades of financial leadership at high-growth security, DevOps, and data infrastructure companies. He joins Anaconda from Sumo Logic, a cloud-native data analytics platform for IT, operations, and security teams, where he served as CFO and later COO through its 2023 acquisition by Francisco Partners. He previously spent six years as CFO of Delphix, a data automation and governance platform, and eight years as CFO of ArcSight, leading the SIEM pioneer through its 2008 IPO and acquisition by Hewlett Packard. He also serves on the board of Anomali, a cybersecurity and threat intelligence platform.

“We have been laser-focused on expanding Anaconda’s AI-native development platform to meet the requirements of secure, flexible enterprise AI deployments,” said David DeSanto, CEO of Anaconda. “Stewart has scaled finance organizations through exactly this kind of rapid growth before, and that pattern recognition is rare to find. Adding Stewart’s expertise to our leadership team helps us accelerate that momentum.”

“Anaconda has built a platform builders trust and enterprises increasingly depend on, making the company well-positioned to meet the growing market demand,” said Stewart Grierson, CFO of Anaconda. “I look forward to working with David and the team to ensure durable, disciplined growth while delivering lasting value for our customers and partners.”

Anaconda is also expanding its executive leadership team by appointing Justin Farris as Chief of Staff to lead the newly established Office of the CEO. Farris will lead three new departments, Strategy, Monetization, and Incubation, as well as the existing Data & Analytics team. He will drive the company’s top priorities and help the company scale as Anaconda achieves its ambitious goals.
