Provides a unified solution for fixed and mobile networks enabling faster innovation and greater operational efficiency
Deutsche Telekom and Titan.ium today announced the successful deployment of Titan.ium’s cloud-native, microservices-based Infrastructure Domain Name System (iDNS) on Deutsche Telekom’s Horizontal TelCo Cloud (HTC), marking a significant milestone in their collaboration to advance Deutsche Telekom’s core network transformation.
“With Titan.ium’s iDNS on our Horizontal TelCo Cloud, we bring fixed and mobile iDNS services together in one cloud-native solution,” said Christoph Hilz, Group senior vice president Core Network & Services, Deutsche Telekom. “This simplifies operations and enables us to introduce innovations faster across both network domains. Combined with the Horizontal TelCo Cloud’s automated infrastructure operations, this allows us to operate more efficiently, respond faster in day-to-day operations and deliver the reliability and performance our customers expect – ultimately creating a better customer experience.”

Titan.ium iDNS provides a scalable and resilient architecture for critical network services, complementing Deutsche Telekom’s shared cloud infrastructure.
“By enabling individual components to be updated independently, our cloud-native iDNS solution helps Deutsche Telekom use resources more efficiently and roll out service enhancements faster,” said Essam Bakr, acting CEO, Titan.ium. “It delivers fast DNS resolution, resilience under high traffic loads, low-latency across geographically distributed deployments, and high throughput.”
iDNS complies with RFC standards and GSMA recommendations and delivers critical features such as load control, overload protection, DNS peer monitoring, automated certification management, proximity-based services, and split-horizon DNS for private network access. Also, iDNS is suitable for advanced features in the 5G network such as dynamic discovery of the Security Edge Protection Proxy (SEPP).
