Radware, a leading provider of cyber security and application delivery solutions, announced that German industrial services provider Bilfinger SE has chosen Radware’s DefensePro DDoS Protection and Cloud DDoS Protection Service to increase cyber defenses across its global hybrid IT infrastructure.
Today, Bilfinger employs more than 30,000 employees worldwide. For a long time, Bilfinger has been providing engineering, maintenance, modification, operations, and inspection services for customers across a broad range of industries, including chemicals, energy and utilities, pharma and biopharma, oil, and gas. The company turned to Radware to protect its infrastructure against DDoS attacks and evolving threats.

The first six months of 2022 were marked by a significant increase in DDoS activity across the globe. According to Radware’s First Half 2022 Global Threat Analysis Report, the number of malicious DDoS attacks climbed 203% compared to the same period in 2021.

For network security, Bilfinger deployed Radware’s DefensePro® DDoS Protection and Cloud DDoS Protection Service. Together, they provide automated protection against Burst, DNS, and TLS/SSL attacks as well as ransom DDoS campaigns, IoT botnets, phantom floods, and other types of cyber threats. Bilfinger is also working with Radware’s Emergency Response Team (ERT). The group of security experts provides 24×7 support and mitigation services for customers facing application- and network-layer attacks.
