ManageEngine Launches New Data Centers in Canada, Offering Enhanced Data Security and Privacy to Regional Customers

Opening of Data Centers in Toronto and Montreal Signify Company’s Commitment and Investment in the Canadian Market

  • Canada is the fourth largest market for ManageEngine worldwide, registering 30% year-over-year revenue growth
  • ManageEngine today has four data centers in North America
  • Data centers enhance localization, data security and functionality to customers

ManageEngine, the enterprise IT management division of Zoho Corporation, announced the opening of two new Canadian data centers in Toronto and Montreal, demonstrating the company’s commitment to the market and offering Canadian customers the benefits of localized data centers.

As privacy regulations and performance requirements assume significance around the world, many Canadian organizations are placing an increased emphasis on localized data storage and processing. This is especially applicable for large enterprises, including those in government, banking and financial service sectors.

ManageEngine’s new Canadian data centers allow regional customers to benefit from greater data sovereignty, data residency and enhanced security, as well as greater ease-of-use and functionality. This includes encouraging existing on-premises customers who are looking to make the switch to the cloud.

“We recognize that Canada is a growing technology market, one that is very important for ManageEngine and has already demonstrated remarkable growth year over year. The investments in local data centers are a testament to our commitment to this region and will help our customers comply with local regulations in terms of data sovereignty, privacy and security,” said Rajesh Ganesan, president of ManageEngine. “The new data centers and their operations carry all the required certifications, which assures our customers that their data is securely stored only within Canadian boundaries.”

A Localized Solution for Canada’s Growing Market

Canada has emerged as the fourth largest market for ManageEngine worldwide, registering 30% year-over-year revenue growth in 2022, led by the tremendous demand for the company’s UEM solution, Endpoint Central. Customer count has also increased 30% year over year–particularly across IT services and solutions, banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), healthcare and pharmaceutical, education, government and non-government organization sectors.

Commenting on the data center launch, Mark Moosaie, manager of IT service delivery at Kohl and Frisch, a long-term customer, said, “I’m thrilled ManageEngine has made the investment to set up a data center here in Canada! As cybersecurity is evolving day-to-day, it’s comforting knowing that our corporate data will be stored following the similar Canadian regulations that I’m accustomed to. I know for sure the insurance industry and regulators that oversee our line of business will be thrilled to hear this news.”

Prior to this expansion, ManageEngine had a total of 12 data centers worldwide, and Canadian customers had their data serviced by US-based data centers in Central Washington and Dallas. Today, ManageEngine operates four North America-based data centers, offering enhanced localization, data security and functionality to customers around the continent.

The new data centers are ISO 27001 and ISO 9001:2015 certified and comply with SOC 1, SOC 2 and PCI DSS. To start, ManageEngine will host its ITSM and UEM solutions from the facilities, adding more solutions gradually.

Looking ahead this year, ManageEngine plans to further boost its local Canadian presence and continue to service the dynamic and evolving needs of this critical and evolving technology market.
