Agreement with Technology Alliance for Statewide Initiatives (TASI) brings PDQ to Texas school systems at no cost to districts, funded through the initiative.
PDQ, a leading endpoint management solution for IT teams, today announced it has been selected to provide the software deployment solution for the Texas K–12 Cybersecurity Initiative, administered by the Technology Alliance for Statewide Initiatives (TASI).
This partnership with PDQ gives districts a straightforward way to strengthen their defenses using initiative funding. TASI selected PDQ through a statewide competitive process to give participating school systems — from large urban districts to small rural ones — the ability to deploy software, patch vulnerabilities, and harden endpoints against cyberattacks, including removing local administrator access and complementing existing EDR tools at scale.

“We’re proud to bring PDQ’s endpoint management experience to every school system in Texas willing to take part in this program,” said Jaren Nichols, President of PDQ. “Districts across the state — many of them running lean, one-person IT shops — will get enterprise-grade tools without a procurement barrier or a bill.”

PDQ already serves more than 186 Texas K–12 customers across all 20 ESC regions, including Brownsville ISD, one of the state’s largest urban districts, and Eden CISD, one of the smaller rural districts in ESC Region 15. This initiative will expand PDQ’s reach statewide through a phased onboarding plan beginning October 1, 2026, and continuing through 2027 and beyond.
