Strengthening its nearly 20-year partnership with VMware, WWT is investing significantly in an even larger, more scalable team dedicated exclusively to VMware solutions and services. Together, the companies help their joint customers succeed in increasingly complex IT environments with integrated technology solutions that balance security, employee and infrastructure needs to help transform organizations and accelerate growth.

During VMware’s FY21, WWT continued achieving aggressive growth for its business with VMware. Through investment and innovation, WWT estimates they will finish around $175 million in FY22. Fueling this growth is organizations’ need to ensure employees and infrastructure are future ready amid the continually evolving workplace and market demands.

Together, WWT and VMware partner to help customers Make a New World Happen by seeing the opportunities, removing the barriers, reaching better decisions fast, and implementing them even faster. VMware solutions power most of the innovation labs in WWT’s ATC, which WWT uses to help customers discover, evaluate, architect and implement new technology solutions, and then deploy them rapidly through WWT’s global integration centers. WWT’s innovative approach and ability to leverage its ATC testing environments have resulted in faster migration and a significant reduction in time and money to execute customer digital transformations.

As a trusted advisor and strategic partner, WWT has invested over $30 million into the relationship. This year WWT’s investment will grow significantly as it creates an even more robust and multifaceted team of experts dedicated to VMware solutions and services to help their joint customers further accelerate their digital transformation. The WWT team focused solely on VMware has yielded strong results and wins across VMware’s entire portfolio, ranging from digital workspace to network transformation, intrinsic security, modernizing applications and cloud solutions.

“We’re proud to partner with VMware to equip customers with solutions that help them plan for tomorrow as well as today,” said Bob Olwig, VP of Business Development and Innovation, WWT. “Security risks are at an all-time high, demanding businesses take concerted, integrated steps to secure their workplaces on premise and in the cloud.”

“Digital transformation and leveraging the cloud to make businesses more resilient in times of sudden market changes are key,” said Sandy Hogan, SVP of Worldwide Commercial and Partner Sales, VMware. “We’re pleased to work with WWT to provide solutions that result in exceptional customer outcomes.”

Combining WWT’s IT consulting services with VMware’s technology platforms, the partners can rapidly develop and deploy the flexible, scalable and secure technology solutions that have helped organizations – both public and private, and across a range of verticals – achieve their business ambitions, while saving time and money.

For example, WWT and VMware provided services for a state and local government agency that needed to quickly implement a remote access solution to maintain business continuity amid the COVID-19 outbreak, as well as helped a leading bank migrate applications into its new cloud environment faster, cutting the time of migration down from months to weeks.

Together they’ve also helped a leading health insurance company in the U.S. that needed to harness clinical data to enable a new line of business, leveraging the full breadth of WWT’s ATC to design and deliver best-in-class architecture in 90 days. With its new software-defined data center architecture, the health insurer has a highly available, resilient and communicative platform for application development. Additionally, six-month SLAs for full-stack development environments have been reduced to 15 minutes. The health insurer continues to use the ATC as a development sandbox for integrating and testing a multi-OEM enterprise reference architecture.

“Our alignment of go-to-market strategy and business culture, as well as the capability to demonstrate our advanced technologies in WWT’s ATC, make our partnership with WWT especially unique,” said Bill Swales, VP and Channel Chief of the VMware Americas Partner Organization, VMware.
