“By 2025, 70% of organizations will choose data management software products based primarily on the business user experience, up from less than 20% in 2021”

Trifacta’s data templates gallery gives users a head start by allowing them to deploy data engineering workflows in minutes that can be tailored to solve specific data challenges in common use cases. The data templates enable and encourage sharing and collaboration among modern data workers in any line of business, ultimately empowering companies to better use data to increase productivity, improve sales, bolster marketing initiatives, and more.

“The pre-built templates from Trifacta allow companies to start from a complete workflow and quickly tailor it to their specific needs, dramatically reducing the cycle time to go from raw data to high quality, automated data pipelines,” said Sean Kandel, Co-Founder and CTO of Trifacta. “As more companies modernize and migrate their data to the cloud, the opportunity to become truly data-driven is there for the taking.”

The key to modern data management is making data engineering accessible across the business, including sales and marketing analytics. According to Gartner®, “By 2025, 70% of organizations will choose data management software products based primarily on the business user experience, up from less than 20% in 2021”.*

Trifacta is ahead of the curve in delivering on this need, as the new, ready-to-use data templates provide valuable data quality rules and transformation logic embedded in each template. Further, the template gallery will allow for crowdsourcing best practices and sharing data sets, macros, user-defined functions, and custom connectors that Trifacta customers have been developing. Ultimately, these capabilities will lead to reusable templates for thousands of data engineering patterns.

A sample of the many templates and use cases available today include:

  • Transform data to a target schema using a mapping table
  • Import data from Google Cloud Storage to Big Query
  • Analyze associations between retail purchases
  • Identify key sentiment words and compute NPS
  • Analyze a selection of stocks’ historical performance to identify correlations

Trifacta’s data templates are ready to be used either standalone to jump-start new projects or plugged into an existing data engineering pipeline. They encompass all the parts necessary of an ELT/ETL workflow and can accelerate the implementation of mission-critical data projects. The pre-built templates from Trifacta are available both on the Trifacta Data Engineering Cloud and on Dataprep by Trifacta on Google Cloud.

The new templates are the next step in the end-to-end modernization of cloud data engineering. Trifacta recently announced the industry’s first Data Engineering Cloud, allowing users of all skill levels to accelerate data preparation and democratize ELT in an enterprise-grade, open platform. Trifacta delivers an intelligent, visual data engineering cloud platform to transform data, ensure quality, and automate data pipelines, enabling consumable data at any scale.
