Jatheon Adds Slack to Connector Portfolio for Compliant Capture and Archiving

Jatheon Technologies Adds OCR Feature to Jatheon Cloud

Jatheon announced Slack archiving on the Jatheon Cloud platform, giving compliance and legal teams a supervised, searchable record of Slack.

The Slack connector extends Jatheon’s data connector suite to one of the most widely used workplace messaging platforms. It’s built for compliance officers, records managers, and IT leaders in regulated sectors and enterprise organizations worldwide.

Bringing Slack into the same archive as email and every other channel gives compliance, legal, and HR teams one place to search, review, and prove what happened, while staying compliant.”

The Slack connector captures activity across the platform and preserves it in evidentiary-quality format with metadata and message threading. Supported message types include public and private channels, direct messages, and group messages. Edits and deletions are also supported.

The connector also supports optional historical data import, so organizations can bring existing Slack conversations into the archive rather than starting from the deployment date. Once captured, Slack data is available through Jatheon’s unified search across all data sources, in a single interface. Compliance teams can apply retention policies, legal holds, tags, content policies and audit trails to Slack records the same way they do for other channels. AI can decode message sentiment and flag risky and non-compliant items for review.

Marko Dinic, Jatheon CEO, said in a statement: “Organizations face growing pressure to capture communications beyond email as employees move daily conversations into chat. Regulators have levied $2.6 billion in fines for recordkeeping failures, underscoring the cost of incomplete records. Bringing Slack into the same archive as email and every other channel gives compliance, legal, and HR teams one place to search, review, and prove what happened, while staying compliant.”
