Tricentis Appoints David Gardiner to Lead Newly Formed DevOps Business Unit

Tricentis, a global leader in enterprise continuous testing, announced the appointment of David Gardiner as Executive Vice President and General Manager of its new DevOps business unit. Gardiner will be responsible for defining and delivering a specialized technology strategy and offerings designed for cloud native development teams who build using DevOps processes and tools. The DevOps business unit is a critical new company expanded focus, in addition to the continued support of core enterprise testing, providing customers with the specific tools needed to engineer quality throughout the development lifecycle, whether that’s with an enterprise end-to-end IT process or a new cloud native product.

“As DevOps represents a philosophy of collaboration and shared responsibilities for software development and quality, it is recognized as the one of the most critical components to realizing impactful change which grants an organizational structure dedicated to the creation and optimization of this specific team’s success,” said Gardiner. “I’m thrilled to join Tricentis and help build a team dedicated to delivering products that enable software development teams to deliver high quality software.”

Gardiner joins Tricentis from Trace, an Austin-based software development company, where he serves as a board member and advisor. Previously at SolarWinds, he held numerous roles including Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development, Executive Vice President of International Sales and Business Development, and most recently Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to SolarWinds, David led business development at Motive, BroadJump Inc., and Trilogy, Inc.

“Tricentis added several developer and DevOps products to our portfolio last year with the intention of empowering software development teams to tackle strategically critical challenges for their businesses,” said Kevin Thompson, Chief Executive Officer, Tricentis. “Gardiner’s experience in leading organizations dedicated to software development will help us define this new business unit and deliver valuable products built specifically to optimize the efforts of developers and DevOps teams.”

Gardiner joins the company’s executive leadership team which recently announced the appointments of Suhail Ansari as Chief Technology Officer and Jen Lucas as Chief People Officer.
