Airgain Expands Line of 5G Antennas with New RECON13™ Ultra-Low-Profile Rugged Antenna

Airgain,a leading provider of wireless connectivity solutions that creates and delivers embedded components, external antennas, and integrated systems across the globeannounced the launch of its new RECON13 5G antenna, which expands its popular line of rugged outdoor 5G antennas designed for fleet and public safety vehicles and assets. This is the first entry in a new series of ultra-low-profile antennas designed for applications that require maximum connectivity with minimum space.

“The RECON13 offers 5G connectivity as well as the most antenna elements in a single low-profile housing. It is flexible enough to provide connectivity for applications that reach far beyond fleets, making it a game changing new entry into the market.”

The RECON13 5G is designed to provide high performance LTE and 5G connectivity. The unit’s extremely low profile makes it more covert and less obstructive to vehicle light bars and other roof-mounted equipment. With up to 13 elements, this antenna is one of the most versatile on the market and is compatible with, and connects to, virtually any vehicular router or modem.

Airgain’s RECON13 5G antenna features a 13-in-1 configuration that supports up to four LTE/5G cellular elements, up to eight Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 elements and offers an optional Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) element for GPS location services. It also features both IP67 and IP69K certification, making it built to withstand the toughest environmental hazards. Coupled with the EZConnect cable harness, it allows for quick and easy customization and integration with onboard devices. In addition, like all mobile antennas from Airgain, it is also covered by an industry-leading 5-year limited w*******.

It is flexible enough to provide connectivity for applications that reach far beyond fleets, making it a game changing new entry into the market.”
