As a first step, UTS and NTT will jointly conduct a proof of concept of cryptography Information-Sharing platform utilizing NTT’s ABE (Attribute Based Encryption) technology and adopt it for internal applications in UTS in collaboration with Rapido, UTS’s Technology development unit. UTS and NTT will accelerate to establish and enhance cybersecurity collaboration in Sydney and grow a joint market for new R&D technology.

“This partnership demonstrates the collaborative potential of NTT and UTS working together in the Sydney CBD,” said Professor Ian Burnett, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and IT, University of Technology Sydney. “It is a tremendous opportunity for both NTT and UTS but more so for NSW in critical areas such as cyber security and 5G.”

UTS and NTT will extend the collaboration to establish 5G DX Square for Co-Innovation of 5G business and use cases, Co-Creation of use cases combining URV based Sports Analytics, Digital Twin, Cybersecurity, and Quantum Computing enabling education and training of future digital professionals in NSW.
