Tanium, a leader in Autonomous Endpoint Management (AEM), today announced the appointment of Tara Ryan as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). “Tara is a transformational marketing leader with a unique blend of creativity, strategic acumen, and operational rigor,” said Dan Streetman, CEO of Tanium. “She’s helped category-defining companies navigate growth, brand evolution, and market leadership. Her experience in cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and enterprise software makes her the ideal leader to scale our marketing efforts globally.”

Ryan most recently served as CMO at Saviynt, where she led global marketing efforts for the company’s AI-driven Identity Cloud platform and helped reposition the brand at the forefront of identity-centric cybersecurity. Prior to that, Ryan acted as CMO at Contrast Security, a DevSecOps leader replacing legacy tools with modern, instrumentation-based approaches to application security, as well as at Incorta, a data analytics disruptor enabling real-time operational decision-making through a next-generation unified data platform.

Ryan spearheaded marketing during the IPO growth phases at Proofpoint, Coupa, and NetSuite, building predictable, data-driven marketing engines that drove scalable pipeline and revenue growth. At McAfee.com, Network Associates, and Commerce One, she helped shape early brand success stories and was a key architect of go-to-market programs across five business units and multiple IPOs.

In her role with Tanium, Tara will leverage both her domain and growth-stage expertise to oversee the company’s brand, corporate marketing, global communications, and demand generation initiatives.

“Tanium created new standards for enterprise IT and security teams far ahead of others and that innovation is paying off today for customers that need operational speed, compliance and resiliency,” said Ryan. “I am honored that Tanium chose me to take their brand to the next level and expand awareness of these amazing solutions.”
