Syniverse Names CISO Justin Dellaportas to Executive Leadership Team

Appointment reinforces cybersecurity as a corporate priority, enhances stakeholder protection

Syniverse, the world’s most connected company, has added Chief Information and Security Officer (CISO) Justin Dellaportas to its Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Dellaportas will report directly to Andrew Davies, Chief Executive Officer with this promotion.

This appointment emphasizes Syniverse’s focus on cybersecurity as a fundamental business priority and reinforces its commitment to protecting stakeholder interests. The move positions cybersecurity at the highest level of organizational decision-making and ensures direct alignment with companywide planning and operations. It will also accelerate incident response times and improve proactive risk management strategies.

Since joining Syniverse in 2021, Dellaportas has led several initiatives that have transformed the company’s approach to information security. He has developed and executed a multi-year cybersecurity strategy, implemented new incident response capabilities, and achieved important advances in compliance. His team’s work has reduced response times and improved Syniverse’s security culture.

Dellaportas holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and a minor in business administration from the University of Central Florida. During his career, he has also earned a GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from the SANS Institute and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. In 2023, he was recognized as one of Tampa Bay Business Journal’s “40 Under 40,” which spotlights emerging leaders younger than 40 in the Tampa Bay business community.
