SimSpace Appoints Industry Veteran Michael Bayer to Board of Directors

SimSpace, the global leader in cyber readiness and security optimization, today announced the appointment of Michael Bayer to its Board of Directors. With expertise in finance, operations, technology and business development roles, Michael will help guide SimSpace’s strategic growth and innovation.

Michael currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Wasabi Technologies, a provider of high performance cloud object storage. A chartered financial analyst (CFA), Adjunct Lecturer in Finance at Babson College, and Steering Committee member of The CFO Leadership Council, Michael brings over 25 years of experience as CFO and COO of numerous technology companies, helping them manage hypergrowth and achieve successful exits. He was honored as a Boston Business Journal CFO of the Year in 2018.

Michael previously served as CFO at organizations including ecommerce innovator MotherNature.com, where he managed the firm’s IPO; optical networking company LightChip and storage appliance vendor Revivio, where he managed their acquisitions; iZotope, a provider of software and solutions for the audio industry; and a number of other companies across a wide array of technologies including software, mobile, ecommerce, healthcare information and cleantech.

Michael holds an MBA from Cornell University, where he was an Albert Fried, Jr. Fellow, and a Bachelor of Science from Babson College. He also studied Computer Science and Economics at Brandeis University.
