Permiso Security, the leading identity security company protecting human, non-human, and AI identities across hybrid and multicloud environments, announced several strategic hires and executive promotions as Permiso scales in response to growing demand for their industry-leading identity security platform.

Bringing in world-class talent like Brian, while also elevating proven leaders like Ian and Sanjeev, sets the stage for our next chapter of growth.

To help even more customers adopt Permiso’s unique identity solutions, Brian Crockford has joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer. Brian brings over two decades of cybersecurity sales leadership to the team and will lead go-to-market functions. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Sales at Phosphorus Security.

Permiso also recently announced two major internal promotions:

  • Ian Ahl, who leads Permiso’s acclaimed threat research team, P0 Labs, has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer. In his new role, Ian will oversee all product innovation and technical strategy across the Permiso platform.
  • Sanjeev Williams, a foundational member of the Permiso team since 2023, has been promoted to SVP of Product. Sanjeev will lead the product management and design teams as they continue to deliver groundbreaking solutions that help security teams inventory and secure their entire identity fabric.

“The team we’re building at Permiso is a reflection of the challenges we’re solving—complex, fast-moving, and critical to modern enterprise security,” said Paul Nguyen, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Permiso. “Bringing in world-class talent like Brian, while also elevating proven leaders like Ian and Sanjeev, sets the stage for our next chapter of growth.”

The need for Permiso’s solution is underscored by increasing waves of identity cybersecurity attacks, including those from Scattered Spider, which continues to target leading retailers, airlines and insurance companies, costing millions of dollars in disruption. Threat actors gain access to systems and records, often via stolen identities or compromised credentials, and disrupt systems or demand ransom. Permiso’s solutions will be even more relevant as AI makes impersonation even more difficult to detect.

These leadership moves follow several other key additions to the team:

  • Austin Hall joined Permiso as Field CTO, acting as a technical advisor to customers and prospects navigating complex identity security challenges.
  • Garrett Stephens joined as Senior Product Marketing Manager, focused on communicating the value of Permiso’s platform to security leaders across industries.
  • Evan Davis joined as Senior Demand Generation Manager, bringing a data-driven approach to driving awareness and pipeline growth.

The company’s momentum is further underscored by two major product milestones:

  • In April, Permiso launched the Permiso Platform, a unified solution for identity inventory, posture management, and identity threat detection across cloud and SaaS environments.
  • In June, Permiso announced the upcoming launch of Permiso Discover, a free identity inventory and visibility tool for human and non-human identities.

Permiso continues to secure industry recognition as well. Just last week, the company was selected as a US finalist in the KPMG Private Enterprise Tech Innovator competition and in April, Permiso was named Most Promising Early Stage Startup in the SC Awards.
