“Cybersecurity remains a critical component of every enterprise’s digital transformation strategy”

The announcement reaffirms Orca’s commitment to continued innovation – particularly in the realm of generative AI. The newly expanded portfolio of AI engines offers customers unprecedented flexibility to use the engine that best meets their unique security needs and maximizes the accuracy and value of the results.

In recent years, the demand for skilled cloud security professionals has surged, leaving a glaring gap between the number of job openings and the available talent to fill them. According to research from the Enterprise Strategy Group, 71% of cybersecurity professionals say their organizations have been impacted by the cybersecurity skills shortage, creating a situation of increasing workloads and high burnout.

“With the industry facing a serious cybersecurity skills shortage, partnering with Google Cloud was a natural step forward in enhancing Orca’s code generation capabilities to reduce the specialized skills required for effective cloud security,” said Gil Geron, CEO and Co-founder, Orca Security. “Our enhanced risk remediation helps security teams reduce workloads, burnout, and turnover, while at the same time significantly improving cloud security postures.”

Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform simplifies the machine learning (ML) lifecycle, enabling developers and data scientists to build custom ML models with minimal coding. With Orca’s Vertex AI integration, Mean Time to Remediation (MTTR) is significantly reduced: security practitioners can instantly generate remediation instructions for each security alert, and directly copy and paste code into a command line interface or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) provisioning tool, or follow steps in a console.

“Cybersecurity remains a critical component of every enterprise’s digital transformation strategy,” said Vineet Bhan, Global Head of Security Partnerships, Google Cloud. “By utilizing Vertex AI, Orca will power new capabilities that can improve cybersecurity posture and help businesses better protect their organizations.”

The Vertex AI integration expands upon Orca’s partnership with Google Cloud, including integrations with Google Workspace and several Google Cloud security products, including Google Cloud’s Chronicle, Security Command Center and VirusTotal. Orca supports a wide range of Google Cloud services to provide comprehensive coverage and mission-critical contextual analysis for joint customers’ Google Cloud estates, including infrastructure, workloads, identities, and data with protection from any risk type.
