Mr. DeBolt possesses a distinguished professional history encompassing more than 20 years of experience in the fields of law enforcement, intelligence, and commercial cybersecurity. Having previously served as the U.S. representative and Head of Cybercrime Intelligence at the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), a Special Agent at the U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service, and a U.S. Marine infantry scout leader, Michael DeBolt is exceptionally qualified to help lead Intel 471 through this phase of organizational growth.
During his eight-year tenure at Intel 471, Michael DeBolt has been instrumental in establishing the intelligence program and offering strategic guidance to Intel 471’s global team, thereby ensuring that clients receive unmatched insights into the cybercriminal underground. He continues to fulfill a vital role in assisting Intel 471’s customers and the broader industry in integrating CTI strategies and outcomes across various business initiatives. Notably, in 2024, he founded and was the driving force behind the publication of the Cyber Threat Intelligence Capability Maturity Model (CTI-CMM). This pioneering model was collaboratively developed by a consortium of 28 cybersecurity industry leaders, resulting in a framework for the operationalization of threat intelligence that is integrated with an organization’s overarching objectives and outcomes, thereby substantiating the value of CTI programs across operational functions.
