Globalgig Expands Network Security Portfolio with Managed SSE

Cloud-delivered Secure Service Edge (SSE) platform provides enhanced data protection, scalable security, and real-time threat response for global enterprises

Globalgig, a managed communications platform provider for global enterprises, announces that it has expanded its network security solutions with the launch of Globalgig Managed Secure Service Edge (SSE), a dynamic, scalable, and fortified security platform that enhances the protection of company networks, applications, data, and users. The cloud-delivered security service, offered on a fully managed or co-managed basis, provides companies with comprehensive defenses against malware, data breaches, and unauthorized network access. Enterprise users of managed SSE will have access to Globalgig’s Orchestra Insight network intelligence platform for centralized visibility and control to monitor traffic, enforce policies and respond to threats in real time across the entire enterprise.

Globalgig’s Managed SSE, powered by Palo Alto Networks Prism Access, offers customers a comprehensive suite of security features that encompass both cloud and network access. These include Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and network firewalling. Additionally, the service supports the Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) security model, which dynamically and continuously secures network access using identity, context, and policy-based protocols. This allows for more granular user authentication, meeting the security demands of today’s hybrid workforce—whether in the office or working remotely.

Enterprise customers have the flexibility to either deploy managed SSE integrated with SD-WAN, or seamlessly pair the SSE security features with their own SD-WAN platform or other wide-area networking technology. Additional customer benefits from the Globalgig Managed SSE service include the reduction of capital expenditures associated with premises-based infrastructure, the mitigation of network latency and the enhancement of the user experience, improved cost efficiencies from the service’s scalability, and strengthened ability to safeguard regulatory compliance.

“The flexibility of Globalgig’s software-enabled managed network solutions, coupled with the comprehensive visibility of our centralized network management platform, allows us to deliver the dynamic cloud and network security features of SSE in a uniquely customized and efficient manner,” stated Jamie Pugh, Globalgig CTO. “The managed SSE solution enables customers to focus on their business priorities with the peace of mind that their network and data are fully protected.”
