FireEye Announces Membership In McAfee's Security Innovation Alliance

FireEye, Inc., the leader in stopping advanced cyber attacks, announced that it has joined the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance (SIA). As a member of the SIA, FireEye will work to integrate advanced threat indicators of compromise from the FireEye Malware Protection System (MPS) with McAfee Network Security Manager (NSM), McAfee Network Security Platform (NSP), and McAfee Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) products. The integration is intended to provide immediate actionable intelligence to CISOs and IT departments which reduces time to remediation and closes the window on any potential data exfiltration faster than any other solution in the market.

“Integration of advanced threat intelligence from the FireEye MPS with McAfee NSM, NSP, and ESM products will enable customers to more fully leverage their existing security infrastructure and respond more quickly to critical security issues” said Ashar Aziz, founder and CEO of FireEye.

The FireEye Malware Protection System is the only cross-enterprise, signature-less solution against Web and email threat vectors as well as advanced malware resident on file shares. FireEye offers multi-vector protection and protects across every stage of an attack lifecycle, from exploit to exfiltration. Using its patented Virtual Execution (VX) technology platform across its portfolio, the FireEye solution provides state-of-the-art, zero-day protection against next-generation threats that use Web-based exploits, malicious email attachments, malware callbacks, and network file share malware.
