Darktrace Appoints Bryce Coté as Chief Customer Officer

He brings over two decades of experience in transforming the customer functions of technology companies including LogMeIn, TomTom and, most recently, CyberArk

Darktrace, a global leader in AI for cybersecurity, today announced the appointment of Bryce Coté as the Company’s first Chief Customer Officer (CCO). Coté will be responsible for building an outstanding experience for current and future Darktrace customers, enabling them to thrive and stay cyber resilient in a fast-evolving threat landscape. The addition of the Chief Customer Officer role will enhance communication and integration between multiple customer touchpoints within Darktrace, ensuring the best possible customer experience for its growing community. Darktrace’s existing Customer Success, Customer Support, Threat Analysis and Solutions Engineering functions among others will all come together under Bryce’s remit.

Coté brings more than two decades of experience helping global technology companies build and transform their customer experience function. Most recently he was the Global Vice President of Customer Success and Renewals at CyberArk where he transformed the company’s customer success management operation into a proactive outcome-based organization leading to 100 percent logo retention and helped drive 2x faster ARR growth for CSM-led accounts. Prior to that, Coté was the Vice President of Customer Success at LogMeIn where he led a cross-business retention initiative that significantly increased customer engagement on key accounts, while also improving new customer onboarding for the brand. Before LogMeIn, Coté was the Vice President of Global Customer Care at TomTom where he oversaw a team of more than 600 professionals spread across 40 countries and was responsible for increasing customer satisfaction and retention, while identifying upsell and cross sell opportunities across TomTom’s vast customer base.

Darktrace bolsters C-Suite and grows executive committee to refocus Darktrace on scaling for global growth

Darktrace has deepened its C-Suite bench with the promotion of Dan Monahan to Chief Partner and Transformation Officer and Phil Pearson to Chief Strategy Officer. Over the past year, Monahan rebuilt Darktrace’s global partner organization from the ground up – creating new programs and benefits for the company’s channel partner ecosystem. In his new role, Dan will continue to drive improvements for Darktrace channel partners and take on additional responsibility for key in-flight and future transformation programs, implementing robust business processes and systems to enable Darktrace to scale efficiently and sustainably in line with its global growth ambitions.

Phil Pearson has been an integral part of Darktrace’s strategic operations for more than six years. In his new role as Chief Strategy Officer, Pearson will be responsible for driving Darktrace’s growth by aligning the company’s strategic initiatives to the competitive and evolving customer landscape, driving mergers and acquisitions program, and overseeing the development of long-term business plans.

Sales leaders Matt North, SVP of Sales for EMEA & APJ at Darktrace and Lynn Ramirez, SVP of Sales for Americas at Darktrace also join the Executive Committee, ensuring alignment across the customer journey from initial engagement, through the sales process, to ongoing customer success.
