CoreWeave Announces New Chief Information Security Officer Jim Higgins

CoreWeave, the AI Hyperscaler™, today announced Jim Higgins has been appointed as the company’s new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With extensive experience in cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk management, Higgins will oversee the company’s security strategy, governance, and infrastructure protection across the CoreWeave Cloud Platform. This strategic hire reinforces CoreWeave’s commitment to enterprise-grade security solutions that leading organizations can rely on to confidently scale their AI operations.

Higgins was most recently CISO for Snap Inc., a global tech company most known for its social media platform Snapchat. Before Snap, Higgins was CISO at Block, Inc. and held senior leadership positions in information security and threat protection at Google and other Fortune 100 entities. He currently serves as a senior cybersecurity advisor for American University and has been an advisor to several U.S. government agencies.

CoreWeave has made several structural and strategic moves bolstering its readiness to support the largest and most complex enterprise-scale customers. The addition of Jim Higgins as CISO builds on other recent notable hires, including Chief Operating Officer Sachin Jain, who previously led AI infrastructure at Oracle Cloud and held senior roles at Google and Amazon; Chief Product Officer Chetan Kapoor, formerly a director at Amazon Web Services; Chief Information Officer Sandy Venugopal, who has served as Chief Information Officer for both SentinelOne and Uber; and Senior Vice President of Strategy Corey Sanders, who worked at Microsoft for two decades and last held a leadership position in Microsoft’s Cloud for Industry business.
