โ€œGeopolitical tension in cyberspace continues to ramp up, along with increasing systemic cyberattacks against Western critical infrastructure. That is why it is critical for experts โ€“ from some of the largest corporations in the world โ€“ to come together to develop strategies of collective defense against cybercriminal activity. We must ensure organizations are equipped to protect their customersโ€™ communities,โ€ saidย Tom Kellermann, Senior Vice President of Cyber Strategy at Contrast Security. โ€œMy colleagues and I are honored to join the Cybersecurity Tech Accord to advance this cause. We look forward to providing our knowledge and resources.โ€

Contrast has delivered initial contributions to the Accordโ€™s Zero Trust and CISO blog series. Kellermann provided a piece titled, โ€œThe Devil is in your Code: Zero trust in response to inevitable threats,โ€ which explains how cyber criminals use island-hopping techniques to gain access to software code as a part of Zero Trust series. Lindner also authored a piece on the governmentโ€™s moves to mandate transparency in an effort to stop cyberattacks titled, โ€œTime to let the sun shine on your securityโ€™s dirty laundry: transparency is going to be regulated sooner than you think.โ€

  • Work with each other and likeminded groups to enhance cybersecurity best practices, such as improving technical collaboration, coordinated vulnerability disclosure and threat sharing, as well as ensuring flexible responses for the wider global technology ecosystem.
  • Oppose efforts to attack citizens and enterprises by protecting against exploitation of technology products and services during their development, design, distribution and use.
