OwnBackup Expands Its Leading SaaS Data Protection Coverage To ServiceNow

New solution advances vision to unify data protection for all mission-critical SaaS applications on a single platform

OwnBackup, the leading SaaS data protection platform, announced it has extended its cloud-to-cloud backup and recovery solution to include ServiceNow, expanding coverage beyond Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics. With the general availability of OwnBackup Recover for ServiceNow, organizations using the ServiceNow Platform can improve data resiliency and compliance with automated backup retention and recovery.

“OwnBackup’s solution, Recover for ServiceNow, will enable our customers to innovate on the ServiceNow Platform while ensuring that their data is resilient and protected for audit and compliance purposes.”

Like the SaaS industry itself, ServiceNow is growing rapidly. With roots in IT Service Management (ITSM), the ServiceNow Platform has evolved to become the enterprise service management platform of choice for over 7,000 companies, uniting business functions from customer service to HR to IT with automated workflows.

“We’re seeing ServiceNow go from a single ITSM solution to an indispensable platform that companies rely on for digital transformation. So naturally, the data that companies store in ServiceNow is becoming more and more important,” said Sam Gutmann, CEO of OwnBackup. “Given our vision to unify data protection for all mission-critical SaaS applications on OwnBackup, it was natural for us to bring the benefits of improved data resiliency and compliance to ServiceNow applications.”

While ServiceNow does offer some native backup and recovery capabilities, OwnBackup Recover for ServiceNow equips organizations to better address data resiliency and compliance concerns with capabilities such as the retention of daily backups for up to 10 years, proactive notification of unusual data loss or corruption, and the ability to surgically restore data – from select tables down to individual records – in self-service fashion.

“As our customers’ continue to develop innovative applications across the ServiceNow Platform, we have partnered with OwnBackup, a leading provider of backup and recovery services for mission-critical SaaS platforms,” said Jeffrey DiMuro, Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at ServiceNow. “OwnBackup’s solution, Recover for ServiceNow, will enable our customers to innovate on the ServiceNow Platform while ensuring that their data is resilient and protected for audit and compliance purposes.”

With the ServiceNow announcement, OwnBackup has now expanded into two new SaaS ecosystems within the past year. In August, they announced a new backup and recovery product for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, and recently became an official Microsoft ISV Partner. In addition to Dynamics and ServiceNow, they continue to be the #1 rated backup and recovery provider for Salesforce, where they have more than 4,700 customers and 450 5-star reviews on the Salesforce AppExchange.
