“We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to EnlivenHealth for supporting community pharmacy practice transformation,” said Randy McDonough, Pharm.D., MS, BCGP, BCPS, FAPhA, director of practice transformation for the Flip the Pharmacy program. “We are thankful for their contribution to Team Ohio and excited their sponsorship will allow even more community pharmacies to expand their practice beyond filling prescriptions and toward improving patient health.”

The Flip the Pharmacy program has over 1,400 community pharmacies actively engaged in practice transformation, which are supported by 541 pharmacy coaches from 74 local Flip the Pharmacy teams.

“We see the impact Flip the Pharmacy is having across the country and are excited to support the coaching efforts that are intended to empower transformational growth among participating pharmacy locations,” shared Jason Ausili, Pharm.D., MSLS, Head of Pharmacy Transformation at EnlivenHealth. “We believe community pharmacies are uniquely positioned to promote health equity, and this program should help remove the barriers impeding service expansion, while being designed to unleash the power of accessible healthcare.”

As part of Flip the Pharmacy, pharmacy teams work to transform their community-based pharmacy practice beyond point-in-time, prescription-level transactional models toward longitudinal, patient-level care processes and value-based models. Practice transformation coaches use monthly Flip the Pharmacy Change Packages to work with the pharmacy teams to implement workflow innovations within key practice transformation domains that emphasize delivery of quality patient care and documentation in an eCare Plan platform.

“Practice transformation coaches for local teams have been critical to Flip the Pharmacy success. Having a dedicated local mentor for guidance and support has enabled pharmacies to effectively transition to the new workflow and mindset changes,” said Kelly A. Brock, Pharm.D., executive director of the Community Pharmacy Foundation. “Thanks to EnlivenHealth and their team sponsorship, Flip the Pharmacy is able to provide even more tools and resources to local coaches and pharmacies.”
