NetExperience Launches Release 3.0 of OpenWiFi WLAN Software for Service Providers

NetExperience, creator of the first end to end WLAN software and service compatible with OpenWiFi, announced the General Availability of Release 3.0, bringing a set of new features supporting Wi-Fi connectivity providers in the areas of monetization, network and workflow optimization, robustness and scalability.

Release 3.0 is based on the Telecom Infra Project’s (TIP) latest GA OpenWiFi release and is the result of extensive feedback from NetExperience’s growing customer base of WiFi service providers and hardware ecosystem partners. The platform is available as a SaaS service or licensed software hosted in the service provider’s infrastructure allowing for local data retention.

“Our partnership with the OpenWiFi ecosystem of leading service providers and technology companies has allowed us to accelerate our product development and optimize the platform to meet the needs of the growing WiFi industry,” said Bernard Herscovici, CEO of NetExperience.

“NetExperience is leading the transition to a disaggregated WiFi network,” Herscovici continued. “Our cloud platform allows service providers to deploy enterprise-class, sophisticated WLAN controller and management capabilities at a consumer price point.”

The NetExperience platform is compatible with the key components of the Telecom Infra Project Wi-Fi architecture: open source base software and compatible Access Point hardware. The platform has been extensively tested and deployed with more than 20 TIP-compatible WiFi6 and 6E access points in various form factors, including wall-plate, ceiling mount and outdoor.
