GTT Envision platform grows Asia capability for global SIP-based voice services

GTT Communications Inc., a leading networking and security as a service provider for multinational organizations, announced the expanded availability of its global enterprise voice services to include Japan. The global SIP Trunking infrastructure embedded in the GTT Envision platform supports enterprises by connecting voice infrastructure over SIP and enabling migration to cloud-based telephony with global, secure, scalable and cost-efficient services.

“Global SIP trunking for voice is an essential solution for enterprises expanding their operations across multiple continents,” said Brent Kelly, Principal Analyst, Digital Workplace, Omdia. “GTT’s announcement solidifies its position as one of the few service providers capable of supporting multinational enterprises in extending SIP-based voice capabilities to their Japanese locations.”

GTT provides global telephone numbers and termination, and its services are interoperable with leading Cloud Phone vendors, including CCP for Cisco Webex Calling, Operator Connect for Microsoft Teams, Google SIP Link and Zoom Phone Provider Exchange. GTT processes over 200 million calls a month, and its global network can support over 1.2 million channels.

GTT offers free office-to-office calls and a single, global pricing model to simplify enterprise communications management. Full redundancy is delivered through SIP trunk groups that use GTT’s global geographically diverse Session Border Controllers. The service is underpinned by GTT’s global Tier 1 IP network, ensuring premium call quality.
