Cybersecurity Veterans Scott Lovett and Karl Triebes Join Imperva
Deepens Executive Bench in Response to Robust Growth

Imperva, Inc., the cybersecurity leader whose mission is to help organizations protect their data and all paths to it, names Scott Lovett as Chief Revenue Officer, and Karl Triebes as Senior Vice President of Product Management and General Manager of the Application Security business unit.

Lovett brings three decades of cybersecurity sales expertise that will further accelerate Imperva’s strong growth. He was previously the global sales leader for Web and Security Sales at Akamai Technologies, where he was responsible for go-to-market and execution for all aspects of the company’s web performance, security and enterprise businesses. Prior, he was Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Operations at McAfee, and served as Global Vice President of Security Sales at Cisco.

“During periods of transformation fueled by a constantly changing business environment, customers need trusted advisors who understand what it takes to implement in their environment, a partner whose core competency is cybersecurity and understands their problems and pain points from previous deployments,” says Lovett. “Imperva is singularly focused on cybersecurity without the distraction of unrelated product offerings or security as another business venture. I’m excited about working with the leadership team to build on the strong foundation to accelerate the profound impact Imperva’s technology and people can have on our customers’ business.”

For over three decades, Triebes has operated as a product visionary who has helped conceive, architect, and bring world-class products to the market at scale. Previously, he was Vice President and General Manager at Amazon Web Services, and served as CTO and Executive Vice President of the Product and Technology Group at F5 Networks, where he oversaw the technology roadmap and led engineering. Triebes has also held senior leadership positions with D2iQ, Foundry Networks, and Alcatel.

”Imperva is recognized and highly regarded by both customers and analysts as the absolute leader for protecting data, applications, and APIs. No other company has this combination of broad security coverage, strong technical depth, and unsurpassed domain expertise when it comes to protecting the modern application stack,” says Triebes. “I am truly looking forward to helping build on this legacy to help our customers solve their most complex security challenges through disruptive products and offerings.”

“Given the increasing volume and sophistication of attacks, it’s no surprise that cybersecurity is a board-level topic at every enterprise. As the only market leader in both data and application security, Imperva has achieved strong sales momentum across the entire portfolio while delivering exceptional security products to protect our customers,” says Pam Murphy, CEO, Imperva. “Scott and Karl are world-class leaders and we are excited for both to join Imperva’s Executive Leadership Team to continue our growth in sales and product innovation, respectively.”
