Cloud Native RPA and New Integration Service Advance Core Automation for the Fully Automated Enterprise™
UiPath, a leading enterprise automation software company, at its user conference, FORWARD IV, previewed new features arriving in its next platform update.
Today at its user conference #UiPathForward IV, @UiPath previewed new features arriving in its next platform update for faster, more secure automations and deeper integration within enterprise environments
The capabilities in UiPath 2021.10 help customers tackle some of the most common issues in the enterprise such as sprawling and disparate applications; applying artificial intelligence (AI) to every facet of work; helping IT with scaling, maintaining, and securing automation; and making it easier for developers to build automations.

“UiPath has unprecedented knowledge of how work gets done. We know how people interact with user interfaces and documents and we know what processes look like and how they map to business outcomes,” said UiPath co-founder and CEO Daniel Dines, addressing attendees at FORWARD IV in Las Vegas. “This release is both the most comprehensive automation platform for today and the right automation foundation for the future. We’re delivering on making automations easier to build, expanding automation use cases, and ensuring we provide reliability, security, and governance to support enterprise-level, mission-critical processes. We are also laying the groundwork for semantic automation, in which robots understand how to use applications without being programmed by humans.”
This UiPath platform release powers new orchestration and integrations in the enterprise technology stack and strengthens core cloud native robotic process automation (RPA) in the industry’s only end-to-end automation platform.

New innovations, generally available beginning October 25, include:
- UiPath Integration Service: Enterprises typically use 175 apps or more across cloud and on-premises environments. Modern tech can struggle to co-exist with legacy tech; rather than improve productivity, this fragmentation slows it down. New features make UiPath the first automation provider to offer best-in-class and enterprise-grade UI- and API-based automation capabilities that can be seamlessly used together – all in a single platform. UiPath is a leader in UI automation, which gives robots the ability to read and understand screens so they can emulate the ways that people interact with user interfaces. UiPath Integration Service delivers API automation to help companies optimize the technology they already have. Developers can now use APIs just like they employ UI automation—simply and easily from within UiPath Studio. They can quickly build automations requiring both API and UI automation, as processes often intersect with both types in modern and legacy technologies. The service will include more than 70 pre-built connectors out of the box by year end, so customers can automate faster and with greater resiliency.
- Powering the Mission-Critical Role of Automation in the Enterprise: UiPath enables the largest-scale automation implementations in the world and automation is mission critical for its customers. This release features more capabilities that give IT confidence in automation, specifically Endpoint Protection Integration and the introduction of Robot Auto-healing. Robot Auto-healing is powered by the platform’s built-in IT automation capabilities and assesses robots’ runtime environments to detect and remediate issues without requiring human intervention. With its Endpoint Protection Integration with CrowdStrike, UiPath is the first in the industry to offer endpoint security for RPA. Joint UiPath and CrowdStrike customers now can enjoy the same level of endpoint protection for robots as they have for people. In addition, UiPath will now offer runtime governance to ensure workflows meet corporate quality and security standards.
- Leading with Cloud Native Automation: UiPath is continuing to lead the market with an expansive range of cloud native services to help customers start automation instantly and scale easily. With 2021.10, all UiPath customers can get the benefits of a cloud native architecture, however they choose to take delivery of the UiPath platform. Those who prefer on-prem, public cloud, or third-party hosted options can go cloud native with the new UiPath Automation Suite, which offers all the UiPath servers containerized with portal and infrastructure management tools included. Automation Suite offers a single install on Linux, and UiPath also continues to offer updated individual server product installations on Windows. The SaaS offering, UiPath Automation Cloud™, is also being enhanced to include a host of new cloud services such as Process Mining, Test Manager, and pre-packaged direct buy online services.
- Accelerating Development and Use of Automation: 2021.10 features a host of new features that make UiPath simpler, faster, and more gratifying for developers and end users alike. It empowers developers to build more innovative automations for an expanded set of use cases with features like a new framework for easier Process Mining customization. New AI Solution Templates and a preview of Forms AI make it easier for developers to incorporate AI into their automations. Other developer-centric highlights include new Windows and Office experiences; Studio improvements including an AI-powered citizen developer experience; and UiPath Apps expressions, controls, and lifecycle packaging. While UiPath robots have always supported automation on Windows environments, with this release, UiPath will add cross-platform support with Linux-based robots which can run API automations that execute quickly with a low level of resources. For end users, a new integration between Assistant and UiPath Marketplace now makes it simpler to take advantage of the rich—and rapidly growing—array of ready-to-go, simple-to-use Marketplace automations. This new “choose and use” capability brings our partners’ innovations to end users’ desktops and makes it easier for end users to find solutions for their everyday needs.

“We’re very excited about how UiPath Automation Suite will enable our customers to leverage the power of the entire UiPath platform,” said Ahmed Zaidi, CEO of Accelirate Inc., a UiPath Diamond Partner. “The ability to install all UiPath offerings in a single go and employ the appropriate solution when the need arises, such as AI Center to bring humans into the loop for validating ML-extracted data, or Insights to create custom alerts and notifications when specific business goals have been met, will dramatically assist the way enterprises get their automations up and running.”
Along with these new features, UiPath partners and customers can monetize their reusable RPA components within our Marketplace. These items can be accessed and purchased by UiPath users and the 1.5 million members of the UiPath Community. The offering represents new revenue stream possibilities for organizations that want to share their expertise with the largest global network of RPA professionals.
