The Boca Raton is a private club and luxury resort founded in 1926 and acquired by MSD Partners, L.P. in 2019. The property is undergoing the most significant evolution in its storied history as part of a $200 million Phase One transformation. The Boca Raton is comprised of five distinct hotels, including Cloister, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Bungalows, and the soon-to-open Tower. Amenities range from an 18-hole golf course to a 50,000 sq. ft. spa, seven swimming pools, Racquet Club, 34-slip marina, a collection of restaurants and bars, and flexible meeting space.

The Boca Raton required a voice-first solution with reliable service across the extensive property and broad device compatibility to meet each team’s distinct device requirements. In a competitive selection process, The Boca Raton chose Orion for its ability to provide push-to-talk and multimedia with resort-wide coverage over Wi-Fi and LTE. Orion was also selected for enabling The Boca Raton to optimize devices for each operational role and eliminate the staff’s need to carry multiple devices.

Customer-facing staff will utilize Orion’s award-winning Onyx, an end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) Bluetooth wearable device for heads-up, hands-free communication. Orion will also bridge with the resort’s existing radio system, enabling Orion’s PTT 2.0 platform to interoperate with the staff’s legacy radios. Orion’s platform is scalable to match The Boca Raton’s future growth.
