TBI Adds Sungard Availability Services To Provider Portfolio

The Partnership Brings Cloud Connected Infrastructure Solutions to TBi’s Partner Community.

TBI, the nation’s leading technology distributor, announced the addition of Sungard Availability Services (Sungard AS) to their provider portfolio. As a leading provider of cloud connected infrastructure solutions, Sungard AS gives TBI partners a technology provider that will enable organizations to focus on their core competencies, rather than their IT.

“Our ability to enable secure and connected digital transformation allows clients to focus on what makes them thrive: their core business growth,” said Sungard AS’ Vice President of Channel Sales North America, Ian WhittemoreWith the ever-growing need for low latency modern application stacks, Sungard AS offers clients full integration around their core business applications, whether that be on their infrastructure housed in a Sungard AS facility, a dedicated stack provided by Sungard AS, or as part of a shared inventory.”

Sungard AS partners with major technology providers such as Dell Technologies, EMC, VMware, IBM, and Cisco, to offer low latency and secure infrastructure, providing CAPEX and OPEX options as well as dedicated or shared infrastructure capabilities. Low-latency connections to AWS and Azure, self-managed or fully managed options are also available. Their newest offering, Sungard AS Private Cloud, features toolsets like NSX and vCloud Director, which allow customers to self-manage or choose a fully managed option. All Sungard AS solutions have inherent backup as a service and disaster recovery as a service included.

Leveraging Sungard AS’ 40+ years of experience, customers can take advantage of a fully managed and comprehensive infrastructure solution, which is connected, secured, and housed in a secure redundant facility. The ability to offer these full capabilities is a major market differentiator for Sungard AS because customers can get full infrastructure production management, replication, and fully managed DR, or simply backup as a service at a secondary or tertiary site. “We connect the entire application stack across data centers/geographies and providers, secured with managed SLAs,” added Whittemore.

“We are very excited to add Sungard AS, as the convergence of IT markets continues to evolve TBI’s provider portfolio. Sungard AS will serve as an asset to TBI partners looking to leverage opportunities in a broad range of Managed IT landscapes, whether it be in hybrid cloud, legacy, or a service somewhere in-between,” said TBI’s VP of Sales Operations, Adam Knudsen.
