Infinidat, the market’s leading independent provider of enterprise-class data storage solutions, announced that Stanley Zaffos has joined Infinidat as a Senior Vice President of Product Marketing. In his new role, Zaffos will work closely with the management team to ensure that Infinidat development priorities and go-to market programs continue to deliver superior value to customers as their enterprise needs and technology evolve.

“Stan’s visibility in the industry, engineering background, three-plus decades of vendor and analyst experience, and knowledge of market and technology trends make him the ideal evangelist to contribute to and share Infinidat’s vision within and outside of the company,” said Moshe Yanai, CEO of Infinidat. “He brings a demonstrated ability to help organizations of all sizes optimize their storage infrastructure decisions within the context of their application needs and growth requirements. This high-level approach to storage infrastructure design will benefit Infinidat customers by enabling them to create manageable, extensible, cost-effective infrastructures that evolve with their needs.”
Zaffos will work with Infinidat customers and prospects to help them take advantage of opportunities and avoid pitfalls. He will use the insights gained from these interactions to identify thought leadership topics for his blog and ensure that Infinidat continues to develop marketing programs that deliver strategic value and competitive advantage to the company.
“I’m excited to be joining Infinidat,” said Zaffos. “The company has created a family of storage solutions based on a rock-solid architecture, a can-do development team that embraces every challenge the marketing team brings, and a collegial, positive culture that rewards creativity and dares to be different. I’m also thrilled that my new position will allow me to continue to work with end users. I look forward to helping them optimize their storage infrastructures in a chaotic market where a plethora of vendors sell storage arrays that implement variations of common technology and architectural themes, and deliver little in the way of product differentiation.”
At Gartner, Zaffos oversaw the firm’s Magic Quadrants for General Purpose Storage Arrays and companion Critical Capabilities notes. He also conducted extensive research on hybrid and solid state or flash storage arrays, software-defined storage, HCI, replication technologies, acquisition and asset management strategies, and provided pragmatic guidance and counsel on consolidation and vendor management strategies to Gartner clients. Zaffos’ extensive background and expertise on storage technologies and the overall market will elevate Infinidat’s ability to help customers improve operational and financial efficiency and avoid technological obsolescence.
Zaffos’ appointment follows news that Infinidat recently secured significant industry recognition. The company was named a Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for General-Purpose Disk Arrays, an honorable distinction based entirely on customer reviews. Additionally, Mitch Diodato, head of channel sales for North America, was recently recognized as a 2019 CRN® Channel Chief, representing the top leaders in the IT channel.
Zaffos is the latest appointment to Infinidat’s executive team, joining industry veterans Tony DeLisio and Pete Byrne, who took on strategic sales positions in February 2019. Zaffos will work to capitalize on the momentum the company has created and drive market awareness for Infinidat’s competitive differentiators and superior technology prowess.
