SonicWall is expanding its regional executive lineup and security expertise with the appointment of Vice President of Latin America (LATAM) Sales, Oscar Chavez-Arrieta.
“We are delighted that Oscar has joined the SonicWall team to lead and drive our sales in the Latin America region,” said SonicWall CRO Jason Carter. “Oscar is a highly skilled and esteemed sales leader with extensive knowledge of the cybersecurity market. We are privileged to have Oscar join our sales team as we aggressively grow sales to meet market demand.”
Despite a difficult economic climate, mixed with geo-political strife SonicWall has posted strong financial results. SonicWall has seen incredible growth in cloud-delivered products and services, and is excited to add to the leadership in region.

Chavez-Arrieta comes to SonicWall with more than two decades of cybersecurity experience, with his most recent position being VP of Latin America Sales at Sophos. Chavez-Arrieta previously led the partner sales transformation for Symantec in Latin America, and also held multiple management roles within Dell Latin America where he launched the organization’s first alliances program with companies such as Intel, Oracle and Microsoft among others. In these positions, Chavez-Arrieta created unique ways to engage the solutions opportunity in Latin America – always with the channel in mind, and adding true value to customers and the local and regional distribution ecosystem.
Chavez-Arrieta is a passionate and a widely recognized market leader – having been recognized by CRN on its annual Channel Chiefs list three years running. He holds a degree in economy from Kempten FHS in Germany, and a master’s degree in marketing and commercial management from the IPE of Spain.
