MatSing Lens Antennas to Deliver Superior Mobile Experience for Fans at the Inaugural F1 Miami Grand Prix
Innovative antenna technology and design ensures highest network capacity and deployment within days for the mega event

MatSing, the pioneer for the innovative lens antennas delivering unmatched network capacity in venues and macros, announced that it has been selected by a leading mobile network operator (MNO) to provide high-bandwidth connectivity for the upcoming Miami Grand Prix. The inaugural Miami Grand Prix will act as the fifth round of the Formula One 2022 World Championship. MatSing antennas deployed will deliver 4G and 5G connectivity for the MNO, allowing fans to experience an unparalleled cellular experience and share updates from anywhere in the stands.

With six (6) lens antennas covering the bleachers and stands and an additional location on top of the famous Hard Rock Stadium, fans will be able to experience a superior connected experience from anywhere in the event. With the network provisioned within a few days by the MNO, the MatSing lens antennas were installed and integrated into the MNO’s network in a rapid and efficient manner at the venue.

“As technology has evolved, it’s become a larger part of the race experience for modern day fans who want a connection capable of supporting social media posting, mobile apps and of course checking updates and ordering concession and merchandise. We want to enable this experience for fans and allow them to have the best race day possible,” said Bo Larsson, CEO of MatSing. “Our lens antennas are future-proofed to achieve this data experience for years and easily integrated into the carrier’s networks.”

The location of the deployments and spherical design of MatSing lens antennas generate a clear path of connection targeted at hot-spot areas that see a high-concentration of fans such as the grandstand, suites, and bleachers. A single antenna is able to provide up to 48 high-capacity coverage sectors, reducing the number of antenna locations needed. This reduction in infrastructure needed combined with the highest-capacity and quick deployment time make them an ideal solution for venues and macros.
