ALTR, innovator of automated data governance policy enforcement and data security solutions, announces the expansion of its board of directors with the appointment of data industry thought leader Jonathan Sander. Snowflake’s first Security Field Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Sander brings his deep background and industry insight to the Snowflake Premier Technology partner’s board.

Sander has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry. After kicking off his career as a web programmer, Sander moved to the vendor side in technical support and later into systems engineering, focused on security, database performance, and replication. Jonathan helped build the identity access management (IAM) and security line of business at Quest Software and stayed with the team until the Dell acquisition in 2012. He has also held strategy and CTO roles at Lieberman Software and STEALTHbits. Sander joined Snowflake in 2018 as Security Field CTO, evangelizing data security best practices to help Snowflake users stay secure.
