CoSo Cloud Announces HIPAA Security Certifications and New FedRAMP Customers

CoSo Cloud Announces HIPAA Security Certifications and New FedRAMP Customers

CoSo Secure Private Cloud Platform Achieves Sixth Security Certification for High-Consequence Businesses

CoSo Cloud LLC (CoSo), a leading provider of secure, private-cloud managed services, software products, and custom applications for high-consequence eLearning and training, announced it has been granted the HIPAA Seal of Compliance for its CoSo Secure Private Cloud Platform. The announcement was made on the heels of recent security and compliance certifications by the Department of Defense (DOD) for DISA IL4 and renewal of its FedRAMP Moderate+ for Federal Government agencies. The DOD and other Federal Government agencies rely on CoSo Cloud to provide secure environments that meet stringent cloud compliance mandates for critical regulatory meetings and training initiatives.

“Since 2017, the CoSo Cloud Secure Platform has attained six critical security and compliance certifications”

The Compliancy Group’s Seal of Compliance is the recognized third-party HIPAA compliance verification standard for healthcare institutions, vendors, and IT professionals across the healthcare industry. The Seal of Compliance issued by the Compliancy Group verifies and validates users have made every effort to satisfy HIPAA regulations, and have the documentation to prove it. Organizations which license the CoSo Secure Private Cloud platform are provided with confidence that CoSo will provide necessary precautions to protect their sensitive information including PII, health care records, and HIPAA related data.

As part of CoSo’s continued sales momentum as a secure cloud platform of choice for Federal government agencies, CoSo teamed with Envolve Media and was chosen by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to Complete the Solution for Adobe Connect. The IRS will be conducting internal training for both IRS employees and private citizens about the latest tax codes, laws, and enforcement policies. The five-year agreement will be managed and facilitated by CoSo for 9,000 users.

The IRS is a bureau of the Department of the Treasury and one of the world’s most efficient tax administrators. In fiscal year 2020, the IRS collected almost $3.5 trillion in revenue and processed more than 240 million tax returns. As part of The Taxpayer First act of 2019, the IRS will enhance interactions with taxpayers and the tax community while strengthening cybersecurity protections and information technology systems. This project is part of that modernization plan.

“Since 2017, the CoSo Cloud Secure Platform has attained six critical security and compliance certifications,” said Jim Seaman, CoSo’s Chief Revenue Officer. “Our customers in healthcare and other highly regulated industries can now securely conduct effective virtual training and webinars with the confidence of HIPAA compliance protection in the same way multiple U.S. government agencies leverage CoSo to meet their stringent cloud compliance mandates through FedRAMP certification. Our win with the IRS is yet another example of how important cloud security authorizations are to eLearning initiatives for large distributed workforces, and especially for high-consequence Federal agencies.”

Another recent example of momentum in the federal government’s use of CoSo’s FedRAMP platform is the CoSo and Adobe win for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). CoSo teamed with HUD’s systems integrator, ICF, to improve training and education for HUD employees and their constituents through the use of the Adobe Learning Manager learning management system, which will be integrated into HUD Exchange. The HUD Exchange is an online platform for providing program information, training, guidance, services, and tools to HUD’s community partners, including state and local governments, nonprofit organizations, Continuums of Care (CoCs), Public Housing Authorities (PHAs), tribes, and partners of these organizations.
