Independent Audit Validates Internal Controls, Policies, Processes for Avanan Cloud Security
Avanan, the leader in cloud email and collaboration security, announced the successful completion of its 2021 Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type 2 examination. SOC 2 engagements are based on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Trust Service Criteria. SOC 2 audit reports focus on a Service Organization’s non-financial reporting controls related to Security, Availability, Confidentiality, Processing Integrity and Privacy of a system.

In partnership with Dansa D’Arata Soucia LLP, an independent accredited CPA firm that conducted the audit and issued the report, Avanan underwent a comprehensive examination process. In doing so, Avanan maintains its adherence to one of the most stringent, industry-accepted auditing standards for service companies and provides additional assurance to its clients, through an independent auditor, that its business process, information technology, and risk management controls are properly designed.

The official audit report provides a thorough review of Avanan’s internal controls, policies, and processes for providing full-suite protection and complete security of enterprise cloud email and collaboration applications. It also reviews Avanan’s processes relating to risk management and vendor due diligence, as well as the company’s entire IT infrastructure, software development life cycle, change management, logical security, network security, physical and environmental security, and computer operations.
