AlefEdge Taps Jeff Tennery to Lead Company’s 5G Edge Developer Ecosystem
30-year mobile industry veteran to advance the company’s efforts as Chief Commercial Officer

AlefEdge, the Edge Internet leader, announced the appointment of Jeff Tennery as its Chief Commercial Officer. Tennery—a seasoned technology executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience in mobile, digital media and platform technologies—will help lead the commercial rollout of EdgeNet across thousands of mobile edge sites globally while building the largest 5G Edge developer community in the world.

Tennery has held senior executive leadership roles at Verizon, AT&T and leading mobile advertising platform company, Millennial Media, which boasted over 200,000 mobile app developers before being acquired in 2015 by AOL. Prior to joining Alef, Tennery founded leading freelance platform company Moonlighting, which was acquired in January 2021 by CareerGig. Founded in 2014 and backed by some of the largest media companies in the U.S., the Moonlighting platform supported more than 860,000 freelancers and generated more than $50M in annual gig revenues.

Alef recently announced the launch of EdgeNet, a compute and delivery platform that enables enterprises to adopt the Open Edge globally. A primary function of EdgeNet—the first-of-its-kind Edge as a Service—is to empower and inspire developers worldwide to build 5G Edge applications and services over contemporary networks, and allow enterprises to adopt them quickly and easily.
