The DOE’s CyberForce Program aims to cultivate skilled cyber defenders for the energy sector through competitions, webinars, career fairs, and skill-building resources.
Recently, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER) along with DOE’s Argonne National Laboratory revealed the victors of the inaugural CyberForce Conquer the Hill — Command Edition. This event took place on Feb. 17. Rodrigo Santos, representing the University of Central Florida, secured victory in the beginner level, while Caleb Gindelberger, from Baldwin Wallace University, emerged triumphant in the advanced level.
“The Conquer the Hill competitions provide college students with an interest in cybersecurity or IT an opportunity to test their skills in … an engaging and competitive way.” — Amanda Theel, Argonne director of the CyberForce Program
