RestorePoint.AI Launches Secure Managed Data as a Service Offering for Midsize Organizations

Company also names serial tech entrepreneur Ken Ammon to its Board of Directors and makes several key management hires to scale up business

RestorePoint.AI announced its cloud delivered Secure Managed Data Service (SMDS) which enables midsize organizations to securely take advantage of new analytics and Generative AI (GenAI) driven technologies, and extract business intelligence from their data regardless of where it resides. The RestorePoint.AI SMDS addresses the growing need for secure data management as a service among businesses that lack the resources to build and manage their own analytics and GenAI integrations.

“The RestorePoint.AI Secure Managed Data Service not only simplifies these processes but also significantly reduces operational costs and the need for hard to find technical resources.”

The company has announced Ken Ammon has joined RestorePoint’s Board of Directors. Ken was previously a founder and executive at OPĀQ Networks (now Fortinet), Xceedium (now CA), and NetSec (acquired by MCI).

In addition, Mike Funk, who launched AT&T Managed Network Solutions which achieved over $500 million in revenue, was appointed CFO. And Anurag Jain, former SVP of Engineering at OPĀQ and WebMD, is the company’s new VP of Engineering.

Data-driven enterprises have a significant advantage over those that are not due to improved decision-making, strategic insights and agility. Unfortunately, for many organizations valuable data is often in multiple clouds or buried in siloed systems, making it difficult to gain a complete picture without many man-hours and costs to extract, process, connect, analyze, store and protect it. While large companies typically have the expertise and budget to monetize their data assets, for midsize organizations this is typically out of reach. RestorePoint.AI is on a mission to democratize BI and GenAI.

According to Gartner, Data and Analytics (D&A) leaders should: “Evaluate and test the GenAI-enabled data management capabilities and roadmaps provided by the vendors and avoid building your solution unless a use case delivering strong business value has been identified. Deploy only if the levels of accuracy, quality, security and privacy are sufficient and your data management team is confident that it can cope with the ongoing validation of being the human in the loop.”

The RestorePoint platform is highly flexible and scalable, and features a composable application architecture that allows components to be used, reused, combined and customized based on business requirements and objectives. The service is ideal for businesses looking to streamline their data management processes, with a focus on security, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. It is particularly beneficial for organizations dealing with large volumes of data requiring regular synchronization and secure management.

“Today’s businesses face a myriad of challenges when it comes to managing and unlocking value from vast amounts of their data which includes complex data extraction, synchronization and security functions,” said Dave Albano, CEO of RestorePoint.AI. “The RestorePoint.AI Secure Managed Data Service not only simplifies these processes but also significantly reduces operational costs and the need for hard to find technical resources.”
