Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. announced it has closed its acquisition of Indiana Fiber Network, LLC d/b/a Intelligent Fiber Network (IFN), a fiber connectivity provider serving multiple markets in Indiana. The acquisition adds more than 5,000 route miles of dense fiber with on-net connections to nearly 1,000 enterprise buildings in cities including Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Columbus, Terre Haute and South Bend.

The combined companies will help drive investment and growth in Indiana’s communications infrastructure and advance the ubiquity of high speed connectivity throughout the state. Customers will have access to both Zayo’s global reach and an expanded Indiana network that now includes more than 7,500 route miles that span the state, with on-net connectivity to more than 2,000 buildings, data centers and cell sites. Zayo will maintain operations at IFN’s Indianapolis headquarters.

Founded in 2007, Zayo is a leading provider of bandwidth infrastructure, with dense, high-quality networks across North America and Western Europe. Zayo’s diverse lit and dark fiber networks provide critical connections to thousands of data centers, cloud providers, commercial and entertainment centers in more than 400 markets.
This is Zayo’s 46th acquisition and its first under a private ownership consortium led by EQT Partners and Digital Colony Partners.
Skadden Arps served as legal counsel to Zayo in connection with the transaction. Houlihan Lokey and Stifel acted as financial advisors to IFN, and Dentons Bingham Greenebaum served as its legal advisor.
