NordPass announced it will offer customers an improved passkey experience throughout the upcoming months.ย Following the latest passkey technology improvements byย Appleย andย Google,ย NordPassย is soon adding passkey support forย mobile devices.
Improving passkey experience
In the upcoming months, NordPass users will be able to store, manage, and share passkeys across all devices, including mobile.ย To date, this feature was available on desktop apps,ย web pages, andย browser extensionsย only.

During theย Worldwide Developers Conferenceย (WWDC23),ย Appleย communicatedย that starting withย iOSย 17 release in fall, it will allow third-party apps, such asย password managers, to save and offer passkeys for apps and websites across the system, without an exception forย mobile devices.ย Googleย has alsoย revealedย thatย Androidย 14 will allow users to opt to use third-partyย credential management apps to store their passkeys on various devices.

Offering new features to business customers
After a gradual rolloutย that started on June 5 this year, over 9 million organizations will be able to allow their users to sign in toย Google Workspaceย andย Google Cloudย accounts using passkeys instead of passwords in an openย beta testingย phase. In response to this move,ย NordPassย has allowed organizations to store and manage the acquiredย Google passkeys in its platform.
Since March, NordPassย business and individual customers can store andย manage passkeysย on theย desktop app, web vault, and theย Firefoxย and Chrome-basedย browser extensions, with mobile support available in the upcoming months.The company is also planning to introduceย passwordless loginย toย NordPassย and provide a solution to helpย online businessesย to integrate the support of passkey authentication.
