Menlo Security Designated Fedramp ‘In Process’ for Its Cloud Security Solution

Menlo’s FedRAMP Authorization Will Help Federal Agencies Secure Systems and Workforce by Preventing Web-Based Attacks

Menlo Security, a leader in cloud security, announced it has achieved the “In Process” designation for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) to protect government networks worldwide. In addition, Menlo Security is now listed on the FedRAMP marketplace website. The FedRAMP In Process designation also enables Menlo Security to provide its solutions to State, Local and Education (SLED) organizations.

FedRAMP is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. It is mandatory for all Executive Agency cloud deployments and applicable to contractor systems that hold or process government data. The FedRAMP “In Process” designation is the next-to-last step in enabling federal agencies to use Menlo Security’s solutions to prevent most web-based threats including ransomware, phishing, drive-by-downloads, and other HEAT (Highly Evasive Adaptive Threats) attacks such as HTML Smuggling.

Menlo Security has a Zero Trust approach to security, meaning no traffic is trusted, even packets that originate from inside the organization. This is especially important as it will enable federal IT departments to accelerate the adoption of Zero Trust and other cloud resources outlined in the Executive Order signed by President Biden on May 12, 2021.

“Protecting our customers from cyber-attacks is at the core of Menlo Security’s mission,” said Poornima DeBolle, co-founder and Chief Product Officer, Menlo Security. “Our Secure Web Gateway (SWG), powered by the Menlo Security patented Isolation Core™, is the only solution that creates an “air-gap” between the government worker and the online world, so they never interact with active content on the web — ensuring they are always protected. With FedRAMP, agencies that keep our country secure are empowered to pursue their missions while relying on Menlo Security’s preventative security to keep them safe.”
