Dave Temkin Joins Imperva as SVP of Infrastructure and Cloud Operations

Dave Temkin joins Imperva, Inc., (@Imperva) the cybersecurity leader whose mission is to help organizations protect their data and all paths to it, as Senior Vice President of Infrastructure and Cloud Operations. Temkin is an industry veteran who previously built and scaled one of the world’s largest Content Delivery Network (CDN) for Netflix. As Imperva continues its rapid growth trajectory, Temkin will lead efforts to ensure the reliability, scalability, and uptime of the company’s global network delivering Edge (CDN, DDoS), Application (WAF, Advanced Bot Protection, API Security), and Data (Cloud Data Security) security solutions.

Industry veteran Dave Temkin joins @Imperva as SVP of Infrastructure and Cloud Operations to enhance network operations and meet the surge in demand for the company’s edge and application solutions.

Dave is an industry pioneer and a world-renowned expert in operations, and we’re thrilled to have him lead one of the fastest growing teams at Imperva.”

At Netflix, Temkin was Vice President of Network Systems Infrastructure, where he assembled and led the team that built one of the world’s largest CDNs and global studio technical infrastructure including networking, systems and storage. His responsibilities also included complementary business operations such as provisioning and logistics that enabled Netflix to become the most scalable, high performing and reliable provider of streaming content in the world. This was accomplished by using a hybrid approach of owned infrastructure, public, and private cloud computing. Temkin also helped drive Netflix’s cloud migration by moving applications from legacy data centers to cloud infrastructure.

Temkin is Co-Founder and current Board Member of Community IX and the New York Network Operators Group (NYNOG). He has held leadership roles with Citigroup, Telx (now Digital Realty), Bridgewater Associates, and Right Media, where he was responsible for leading the integration of their infrastructure into the Yahoo! network upon acquisition. He also serves as an Advisor to the Board of Directors of Catchpoint, and as an Advisor to DRIVENETS.
