The global pandemic has accelerated enterprise digitization, exposing weaknesses of many legacy systems, including ERP. Because it’s such a critical pillar of any organization’s operations, getting started on replacing an ERP system can be intimidating, and a lot is riding on this decision. As the market becomes commoditized, software users should carefully review business needs to ensure that the vendor they choose can meet their organization’s particular needs. The year 2021 and beyond could be the new era for ERP. The experience delivered by these solutions, flexibility to match disruption, and speed to market will be critical for users,” said Robert Fayle, research director, Info-Tech Research Group.

What makes the SoftwareReviews Data Quadrant different?

The study involves gathering intelligence on user satisfaction with both product features and the experience with the vendor. Aggregated emotional response ratings are included in the areas of service, negotiation, product impact, conflict resolution, and strategy and innovation to create a powerful indicator of overall user feeling toward the vendor and its product – all from the software users’ point of view. SoftwareReviews calls this insight the Net Emotional Footprint.

Sage Intacct, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +88, scored top product in many areas, exceeding user expectations in quality of features. Oracle ERP Cloud, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +88, ranked strongly on availability and quality of training. Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +81, excelled in breadth of features. Acumatica Cloud ERP, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +82, performed well on BI and performance management. Unit4 ERP, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +82, scored high in customer relationship management.

In general, Enterprise Resource Planning software users were most satisfied with accounting and financial management features, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable- and were most dissatisfied with the lack of analytics and reporting features.
