Atlassian Corporation a leading provider of team collaboration and productivity software, today announced it has appointed Karen Dykstra to its Board of Directors, effective today. Karen is the former Chief Financial Officer at VMware, Inc. and AOL Inc., and sits on the board of directors at Gartner Inc. and Arm Holdings Plc.

Karen has more than 30 years of financial leadership and strong operational experience across many diverse industries. Most recently, she was the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of VMware, a cloud services company, which she helped lead through its pre-acquisition transition period to Broadcom Inc. She was also a member of VMware’s Board of Directors. Prior to that, she was the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at AOL, an online service provider. Karen also served as a Partner at Plainfield Asset Management, and Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Plainfield Direct LLC, a business development company. Before this she spent over 25 years with Automatic Data Processing, Inc. in various positions, most recently as Chief Financial Officer.

Enrique Salem steps down from Atlassian’s Board of Directors
Atlassian also announced that Enrique Salem has stepped down from the Board, effective today. Enrique is a partner at Bain Capital Ventures and the former Chief Executive Officer at Symantec Corporation. He was elected to Atlassian’s Board of Directors in 2013.
“Enrique’s leadership experience has helped guide us over the past decade and, among many other things, he was instrumental in helping us improve our customer experience. We’re a better company for having him on the journey, and I’m grateful for his many contributions,” said Mike Cannon-Brookes, Atlassian CEO and co-Founder.
