With over 350 new enhancements shaped by direct input from its thriving community of 26,000+ members, Acumatica Cloud ERP unveiled its highly anticipated 2024 R2 product release. This customer-driven update underscores Acumatica’s ongoing effort to transform the ERP landscape with modern, future-ready solutions built on cutting-edge technology and practical innovation. 2024 R2 incorporates customer recommendations that enhance usability, increase visibility into critical information and boost operational efficiency for small and mid-sized businesses.

The 2024 R2 update includes the controlled release of Acumatica’s new User Interface (UI), previewed initially at Summit 2024. The modern UI allows users to personalize and simplify screen layouts across their team, making everyday tasks more intuitive and collaborative.

Additionally, Acumatica introduced integration with general inquiry functionality that enables users to leverage AI to identify exceptions or anomalies in transaction reviews, bringing a new level of insight into data management.

The new release also brings key enhancements to each of Acumatica’s Industry Editions, including:

  • Construction Edition: On-demand ProForma invoice creation, substantiated billing, and new processes and functions for the project billing workflow.
  • Distribution Edition: The introduction of Sales Order Margin Analysis Anomaly Detection with advanced AI algorithms to detect patterns and anomalies that traditional methods miss.
  • Manufacturing Edition: Enhancements in the estimating module, including a new Estimate Worksheet, will enable manufacturers to estimate costs for multiple quantities, improving accuracy.
  • Retail Edition: Support for Amazon returns and enhancements to Acumatica’s Shopify integration,
  • allowing volume pricing and quantity rules.
    General Business Edition: Direct integration with banks to automate reconciliation and expense management, saving time and reducing errors.

A new Industry Edition targeting professional services companies is expected later this month.
