Boomi’s Industry-Leading Platform Expands Existing FedRAMP Authorization to Include Workflow Automation Service

Boomi’s low-code workflow automation service, Boomi Flow, joins other Boomi platform services that have been FedRAMP authorized since 2019, including API Management, Integration, and Master Data Hub

Boomi, the intelligent connectivity and automation leader, announced that Boomi Flow, the company’s low-code workflow automation service, has achieved Federal Risk Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) authorization. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) issued the three-year authorization to operate (ATO) to Flow as a part of the Boomi AtomSphere Platform. With Flow, agencies can quickly, easily and securely connect data across systems and databases, replace manual processes, build applications, and collaborate cross-functionally.

“Government leaders are balancing challenges with legacy technology, IT staffing, modernization and more while navigating complex cloud technologies”

FedRAMP provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services, so federal agencies can securely and confidently provide seamless integrated experiences and modernize. In FY 2019, federal civilian agencies reported 28,581 security incidents to the Department of Homeland Security. The program aims to increase the government’s cybersecurity posture as agencies migrate to the cloud.

“Government leaders are balancing challenges with legacy technology, IT staffing, modernization and more while navigating complex cloud technologies,” said Neil Kole, Chief Information Officer at Boomi. “As they continue to embrace cloud solutions, their networks need to be secure, compatible, and cost-effective. We are among only a select group of companies in the world to have achieved this robust compliance standard. Now with Boomi Flow earning FedRAMP authorization, we demonstrate our continued commitment to supporting our federal agency partners like the USAID and Veterans Affairs (VA) as they achieve mission success at home and abroad.”

Boomi’s dedicated public sector team provides optimal support to federal, state and local government agencies, meeting FedRAMP requirements that include over 325 controls across 17 control families, monthly reporting and annual audits. Flow joins other Boomi platform services that have been FedRAMP authorized since 2019, including API Management, Integration, and Master Data Hub.

Federal agencies can now access Flow as a part of the Boomi AtomSphere Platform on the FedRAMP Marketplace – the central, online portal of approved cloud service offerings available for federal government use.
