Former Microsoft Security and FireEye executive joins Armadin to lead strategy and business growth as the company scales its autonomous security platform
Armadin, an AI-native cybersecurity company building effective autonomous security, announced that Vasu Jakkal has joined the company as Chief Strategy and Business Officer. Jakkal brings more than two decades of experience in cybersecurity and enterprise technology, most recently serving as Corporate Vice President of Security at Microsoft. She previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at FireEye, where she worked alongside Armadin CEO Kevin Mandia.
Jakkal joins as Armadin expands its enterprise footprint following the launch of Armadin Red. “Vasu played a pivotal role in guiding Microsoft Security through a period of immense growth during the emergence of the AI era. Previously, she was instrumental in establishing FireEye and Mandiant as recognized thought leaders in the cybersecurity sector,” said Kevin Mandia, CEO of Armadin.ย “Her proven ability to scale organizations and cultivate deep customer trust makes her an exceptional leader. She brings a rare combination of operational excellence and strategic vision we will leverage to establish the industry standard for Armadin’s customer experience from the front lines to the board room.”
“In the agentic era, the asymmetry of attacks is accelerating, and the barrier to entry for attackers is collapsing” said Vasu Jakkal, Chief Strategy and Business Officer, Armadin. “Security has never been more important for trust, and it starts with knowing what an attacker can reach and how to prevent that. Armadin delivers leaders proof at agentic speed, so security becomes preventive versus reactive. Security is a team sport and I’m thrilled to join Kevin and team Armadin to build a safer world for all, with all.”
Jakkal’s appointment follows Armadin’s Series B funding round, co-led by Accel and Andreessen Horowitz, and comes as the company extends the reach of its agentic attack campaigns in production for Fortune 500 enterprises and government customers.
